Frequently
asked questions Easy Photo Grabber 1.4.0:
What is the precision of the
interval ?
You can adjust the time
interval to a minimum setting of 0,10 seconds, however
performance and timeraccuracy are dependent on picture
format and your harddisk and processor speed. If the time
interval is too fast for your computer, the interval time
setting will be adjusted to the actual minimum grabbing time for
that picture format.
How many pictures can Easy
Photo Grabber store on harddisk ?
Easy Photo Grabber can store up
to 320.000 pictures divided into 64 directories. This means that
if you continue grabbing 24 hours a day, with an interval time
of one second, a 3.7 days videoarchive can be recorded onto
harddisk.
When I startup the program I
get a blue screen
If the screens
turns black or blue after you selected a videodriver:
- Step 1 Start up
first your tv/camera software, and choose a channel
- Step 2 - Close it
- Step 3 - Then start Easy
Photo Grabber
How can I make the main menu
visible again ?
By clicking on the bottom
statusbar you can hide the main menu. Click on it again makes
the main menu visible again.
Which capture cards
are compatible with Easy Photo Grabber ?
MSL Soft does not keep a record
of compatible capturecards. All video capture cards based on the Brooktree
848/878/879 capturechip (like the Hauppage (tv)cards) or all
other cards that work with Video For Windows drivers should work
well with the program.
Does Easy Photo Grabber 1.4.0
work with all windows versions ?
Yes, the program is designed to
work with Video For Windows drivers. For Win 2000/XP, VFW is
supported by means of a "built-in wrapper" to
keep compatibility with older programs that make use of VFW
commands. Because the processor load increases in this way,
it is recommended to use a faster computer or processor (+1.5
MHz). You can also use a generic WDM driver see "links"
page.
Can I run other programs at
the same time on my computer ?
It is possible but not
recommended. You can run other programs but much is
dependent on the picture format, intervaltime of the program and
the speed of your computer.
Does Easy Photo Grabber
1.4.0
support more than one camera ?
The program is designed to work
with one camera. Although it is possible to connect muliple
camera to a capturecard that support the input of more than
one camera. Usually the videosignal is multiplexed, so you
get a 4 in 1 picture (quadpicture). Example : when you grab in
640x480 mode, the resolution of each picture(4 total) drops
to 320x240.
